Unity

Unity Church has a new inspirational website: Unite Our Hearts. I love the way the site is designed and the pictures and words are truly amazing. Unity has also re-designed it's website. My family will be participating in the World Day of Prayer and I invite all my readers to consider taking some time Sept. 11 to join others around the world in prayer.

Meet Mark

Avon has come out with a new "beauty experience" called mark. It targeted at girls aged 12(?)-24. Since Trudy sells Avon I was able to try some of their products. I order some skincare products for "misbehaving skin". I really love it. The cleanser is perfect, not too drying and the hydrator makes my skin feel great not too oily but moistrizing. Plus they smell like lavendar which is one of my favorite scents.
I also ordered the yoga mat and bag which is too thin for use at the studio's wood floors but is good for stretching at home on the carpet. I was quite happy with the things that I ordered but I wish there were more products offered and the name was better.

Road Id

Me and Dennis have been running and biking at night after the kids go to bed (my mom's here to watch them). I think it's a good idea to get Road Id just in case something happens to us while we are out. The slogans are great, some of my favorites are:
"No person has the right to rain on your dreams"
"Be alive or step aside"
"Live with radiance, creativity and passion"
"Everyday and every way getting better & better" (this one was in Mike Tyson's biography).

1. What's the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country?
In March we went on a cruise to Nassau and St. Thomas. My best vacation ever.

2. What's the most bizarre/unusual thing that's ever happened to you while traveling?
People on the highway flipping us off because my dad was driving 30 in a 65.

3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go?
A cruise around the world.

4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car?
March was my first time on a plane and I loved it. It was so much faster than car. I didn't like being so close to so many other people.

5. What's the next place on your list to visit?
Eco-challenge! That's not next on my list but it is on my list at sometime in my life.

Yum Yum Toaster Oven

I am so happy that we bought a toaster oven. I really love it. Tonight I made BLTs. They were perfect, I really like the way that bacon cooked in there. It only takes a couple of minutes to get hot and the kitchen stays cool. I also got this book called Pop It In the Toaster Oven which has a ton of great recipes.

Dharma and Jackie

Those of you who know me know that I am very interested in Buddhism and other Eastern thinking. I was so pleased to find Dharma Haven. It has a lot of great information in plain english and enough links to keep you busy for days. The information about Om Mani Padma Hum is excellent and I highly suggest spending some time on this page.

Cockeyed

I stumbled upon this site by mistake but I'm happy I did. It's called Cockeyed and it's full of great pictures and strange articles. I really enjoy the list of bad things that can happen to you, they are ranked by "badness". Also the article about Herbalife was of personally interest to me. When I was in high school I was invited to one of their "informational meetings". My parents went along with me and we were treated to a presentation that was less than convincing. We could tell it was a scam. But I didn't know that those annoying signs are by them, too.
